About
The micro laser scanner measures the dimensions of both soft and hard tissue samples. The machine is developed in house in collaboration with Acacia Technology and is equipped with a line laser and actuator to accurately and quickly determine the dimensions of the sample. The scan results in a greyscale intensity image and a point cloud of the sample. This point cloud represents the surface of the sample with a spatial resolution of 0.05 mm in the x and y direction and a resolution of 0.03 mm in the z-direction.
